Our Story
Established in 1998, the North Central Transportation Planning Committee was founded with a singular mission: to prioritize the region's transportation needs and enhance road safety for all. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating meaningful discussions between local stakeholders, ensuring that every decision we make reflects the unique character and future aspirations of our North Central Saskatchewan community.
Each municipality is paired with a Committee Member to assist with your municipalities unique transportation needs. Please look for your municipality in the Divisions listed below to find your representative.
Land Acknowledgement
The North Central Transportation Planning Committee acknowledges that we work and gather on the traditional and treaty territories of First Nations peoples and within the Homeland of the Métis.
Our area encompasses lands covered by Treaty 6, agreements between First Nations and the Crown that continue to shape our relationships with one another and with these lands.
We recognize the enduring presence, contributions, cultures, languages and knowledge of the Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota and Dakota peoples, as well as the Métis people whose Homeland includes this region.
We honour the Elders and Knowledge Keepers, past and present, and acknowledge the generations of Indigenous peoples who have cared for these lands and waters since time immemorial.
As an organization involved in transportation planning and infrastructure, we recognize our responsibility to respect these lands, waterways and communities, and to work toward meaningful relationships, collaboration and reconciliation with First Nations and Métis peoples.
We are all treaty people.
